BMW 3 series front shock absorber removal and replacement:
First lift the car, add the safety pier, prepare tools including a torque wrench, and then unload the tire. Loosen the three retaining nuts of the top glue. Loosen the connection between the stabilizer bar ball and the shock absorber. The stabilizer bar screw is a bit tight and requires a knock bar to remove it. Loosen the connection with the horn, as well as the brake hose and abs line fixing screws. Note that the spring compressor must be of good quality. The decorative panel can be removed directly. To remove the rear shock absorber, you must loosen the fixing screws of the lower wishbone and the claw, as well as the rubber cover of the rear anti-roll bar, and then tap with a knock bar to remove the rear reducer. Then install the new shock absorber.
